"WAYWOOD" A modern timber masterpiece of Tasmanian boat building.
Built 2003/04 in the Huon Valley to meticulius craftsman standards and remains one of the most beautiful, functional cruising yachts we have ever listed..

Construction Notes- Triple diagonal planked Celery Top Pine over hardwood stringers. Hull is glassed with SP Systems epoxy and 105 gm/sqm Colan cloth then sprayed 2 pack polyurethane giving exterior finish and maintenance of high gloss fibreglass exterior.
Stunning Interior fit-out crafted with Tasmanian Blackwood & Celery Top Pine trim and laminated Blackwood & Celery Top Pine beams.

Design Notes- The knowledge and experience of Waywood's designer Jon Sayer is evident in the performance of this yacht. Her hull shape, fin keel, lead bulb ballast and balanced spade rudder combine to make her fast and easily controlled. Steering both light and direct, and with trimmed sails easily driven hull tracks true with little effort on helm. Sensible ballast ratio make her stiff and safe in rough conditions yet nimble and slippery in fairer weather. Cuts fine to windward and thoroughbred off the breeze once sheets are eased.
